Chocolate Chip Cookies



1 cup butter, room temperature
½ cup SIS Raw sugar
½ cup SIS Caster Sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla essence
1 egg
1¼ cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
200g semi-sweet chocolate chips


  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line baking tray with non-stick baking paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugars together.
  3. Add in the vanilla essence and egg, mix well.
  4. Sift in the flour, baking soda and salt, mix well. Lastly add the chocolate chips to the mixture.
  5. Wrap the mixture in wrap or foil and put in refrigerator for 2 hours or until it firms.
  6. Mould the mixture in small round doughs of the same size and leave about 2-3 inch apart on the baking tray.
  7. Sprinkle some salt over the doughs.
  8. Bake in the oven for 8–10 mins at 110°C or until light brown on the edges. Leave on the tray for a couple of minutes to firm up and then transfer to a cooling rack.
  9. Repeat the process till the mixture finish.
