INGREDIENTS
2 frozen pie crust, defrost 10 to 15mins
For Filling
5 large apples, sliced
2 tablespoon lemon juice
½ cup SIS Brown Sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
For Crumble
75g butter, cubed, room temperature
1 cup plain flour
1/3 cup of SIS Raw Sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
METHODS
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Place the pie crust into the pie tin.
- Prepare the filling. In a mixing bowl, mix apples, cinnamon powder and SIS Brown Sugar, lemon juice until combined. Spread the filling into the pie crust.
- Prepare the crumble. Mix flour, SIS Raw Sugar, salt in a medium bowl. Rub butter into the mixture with your fingers until crumbs are formed.
- Scatter the crumble onto the apple crust.
- Bake in the oven for 30 minutes or until the crumble is lightly brown.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
